What is a sucker punch?
If someone knew it was coming, what do you think they’d do?
Have you ever been caught off guard or been unprepared for something important?
How could you have been better prepared?
Are there areas of life where you are weak or easily tempted?
Do you ever give in to temptation? Why?
Are there any steps you could take to prevent your fall?
“Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like
a roaring lion looking for someone to devour.”

Does God want you to succeed or fail?
If you choose to follow God, His enemy becomes your enemy. His enemy, the devil, wants you to fail. Hes watching and waiting- trying to slip in wherever you are weak. We are each responsible for our own choices, the enemy doesn’t control us or force anything. Sometimes he can just sit back in amusement and watch us mess up, he doesn’t need to get involved, we are doing fine on our own. Your failure is his entertainment. He wants to separate you from God, and from eternal peace.
What does it mean to be self controlled and alert?
How can we gain strength to prevent giving in to our weaknesses?
“I can do everything through him who gives me strength.”

If you believe you are weak, you are right. But God is not. He is omnipresent, meaning that he is everywhere. The same spirit that was in Jesus can be in us. Get an accountability partner- someone to ‘call you out’. And give God your
very best. He wants you to succeed.
