Ezra’s Discussion: Pray!

1/15/19

To what do you give your continual attention?

God loves you. Did you know that? God even loves all of the people you don’t like. How do you think God can do that?

Do you love God? Have you ever been curious about Him? About what He is like?

What would you like to say to God?

What would you like to ask God?

Do you talk with God continually? Why/Why not?

Who do you talk to continually? Why?

What are the advantages (if any) for keeping a constant communication stream going on with someone?

“pray continually;” -1 Thessalonians 5:17 NIV

Pray to God when you eat, pray when you sleep, pray when you wake up, pray before you read anything, and pray before you talk to people you care about. Pray before you talk to people you are not excited to talk to, and pray when you are in the car. Pray before you check your messages, pray when you say hello, and pray when you say good bye. Pray when you feel like crying, pray when you are feeling lonely, pray when you feel misunderstood and frustrated. Pray when you are angry. Pray when you are sad. Pray when you are happy, pray when you are excited. Pray when you don’t feel like praying. Pray when you don’t feel very thankful, and when you do. Pray when others have needs and pray thanks to God when you are feeling content.
