2021/07/15 Ezra’s 5 minute BTN Talk (Thursday)

How much can I love?

“that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.”
-Ephesians 3:19b (NIV)

When does God love?

“Give thanks to the God of heaven. His love endures forever.”
-Psalm 136:26 (NIV)

I don’t know if I want to want to trust an invisible being, what is a benefit in knowing that God cares about me?

“Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.”
-1 Peter 5:7 (NIV)

How can I improve my understanding and experience of God’s love?

“Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers, but whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on his law day and night. That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither—whatever they do prospers.”
-Psalm 1:1-3 (NIV)

What kinds of things would someone who knows God loves them, and loves God back – be doing?

“You, my brothers and sisters, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the flesh ; rather, serve one another humbly in love. For the entire law is fulfilled in keeping this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”
-Galatians 5:13-14 (NIV)

So you should love yourself, and love your neighbor! If you hate yourself, this command won’t work to do good and be kind to others. Some of us have a hard time loving ourselves as we are, and sometimes kindness and love from friends can go a really long way to making this love not be so hard for us and others to grasp. Let’s fill this place with God’s love! Ins ways to surprise each other with kindness and appropriate forms of affection.
