Game: Led by Ezra W

What are you doing? Act out what the person before you said they are doing.

Ezra’s Talk: Staying ahead of the curve

Train to succeed, discomfort before ease.
Pay now, play later or play now, pay later.

As the new school year gets started this week, remember to do the things you need to do before doing the things you just feel like doing.

Take advice from people who are succeeding in areas you aren’t, and learn to identify bad advice when you hear it.

“Plans fail for lack of counsel, but with many advisers they succeed.” -Proverbs 15:22 (NIV)

For your most important decisions, don’t just depend on direction from only one person, get a few more people to ask and references to compare.

“The sluggard says, “There’s a lion outside! I’ll be killed in the public square!” -Proverbs 22:13 (NIV)

Don’t fall into excuses to not pursue good goals, just because bad things can possibly happen, quitting before you get started won’t serve you very well. Those who succeed have also failed forward the most and devoted more to their development than those who stayed mediocre.

“Whoever heeds discipline shows the way to life, but whoever ignores correction leads others astray.” -Proverbs 10:17 (NIV)

Whenever you have to be corrected, it isn’t fun, but wouldn’t you rather get corrected than to live the rest of your life in the wrong?

For example, If you had a car and learned that its tires were way out of alignment, the sooner you corrected them the less damage would get done to them and your entire car.
